A Weekend Guide to Hull for First-Time Visitors

Two days, one perfect itinerary, zero tourist traps.

Start at the Marina with coffee and a slow walk along the water. From there, head into Old Town for Trinity Square, the Minster and the museums quarter, where you can cover a lot of Hull's history without losing half the day to travel.

Lunch works best around Humber Street or High Street, depending on whether you want galleries and waterfront views or older streets and pubs. Leave time for The Deep if you are travelling with children, or for a quieter wander through the Ferens and Queen Victoria Square if you are not.

On day two, cross to Pearson Park or take the bus out towards the Humber Bridge. Hull rewards visitors who look sideways: down alleys, into independent shops and beyond the first obvious photo stop.
