Accessibility at a temporary fairground
Hull Fair is built temporarily on and around Walton Street, so routes, surfaces and ride access can differ from a permanent attraction. Paved areas do not guarantee step-free access to every ride or stall. Visitors should check their own requirements with Hull City Council and the relevant ride operator before travelling.
Ride access is individual
Each attraction has its own physical design and safety requirements. Transfer arrangements, restraint systems, steps and boarding procedures may differ. Choosing a time
The confirmed 2026 schedule is 4pm on Friday 9 October, noon on Saturdays 10 and 17 October, and 2pm Monday 12 to Friday 16 October, with an 11pm close. The fair is closed on Sunday 11 October. Earlier weekday hours may be less intense for some visitors, although noise, lighting and crowd levels cannot be guaranteed.
Travel and parking
Restrictions apply around Walton Street during the fair. Blue Badge holders should not assume ordinary access or parking arrangements remain available. Check the council's current traffic, parking and public-transport information before setting off and allow time for temporary diversions.
